Funky Feet Friday

On Friday 23 May we had funky feet Friday at Good Shepherd School. We were highlighting the importance of road safety.
In Room 3 we discussed road safety everyday and came up with these great ideas:

  • Always cross the road at a controlled crossing (if possible)
  • Look both ways for traffic, before crossing
  • Always wear a helmet when riding bikes or scooters on the road or footpath
  • Always wear a seatbelt when travelling in the car
Check out our funky feet!!! Can you guess who they belong to, in Room 3?????????

Cross Country Recounts

For homework in Week 2, we wrote a recount of our school cross country.  We all had lots of fun and tried really hard.  Here are 3 samples of our work.

Lucy
On Thursday we ran in our school cross country.  I came first.  I was excited before the race.  When I finished I was happy.  We ran around the school.

Allessandra
Everybody raced in the cross country at school.  It was on Thursday 6 May and we ran it for fitness.  I was so excited and Lucy's mum helped me finish the race.  I helped my friend Maggie when she fell over.

Skylar
Everybody joined in the cross country.  Lots of parents came to school.  We did long running for exercise.  It happened last Thursday.  I felt tired at the end.

Topic - Baby Carriers

In Room 3 we have started our Technology topic for the term.  We are looking at Functions and how things work.  At the moment we are focussing on baby carriers: how they work and what their function is.  We have examined 3 baby carriers so far: stroller, backpack and frontpack.  We labelled the parts of each baby carrier and discussed why they had those particular parts. Check out your photos!!!
