Language Experiences

After Easter we have been participating in some language experiences in Room 3. These experiences help to strengthen the children's writing by giving them experiences to describe and write about. It also helps to introduce descriptive language and interesting vocabulary, including adjectives and adverbs. We played with a parachute and bubbles. Please come in and see our wonderful writing that we did about these fun activities. The parachute writing is on display in our window and inside the classroom. The bubble writing is in their publishing books.

Homework Weeks 8 & 9

For the next two weeks, the children in Room 3 have been set a research project for their homework. They need to choose something that really interests them, it can be anything from a sport, space, book, music, dance or TV programme. They need to prepare a short presentation about their topic that they can present to the class. It can be in any form and doesn't have to be very long. Ideas could include: a poem, performing a dance, singing a song, making a poster, playing an instrument, a short powerpoint, bringing in a model or diagram. It's all about being creative and doing something they are passionate about. I am really looking forward to seeing the presentations. I will include photos of the presentations in my next post.

Religious Education - Jesus Strand

Term 4

Hi everybody,
We are in week 6 already, this term is just flying by!!! Room 3 did brilliantly at our school athletics day. All the children really enjoyed the event and participated with great enthusiasm and determination. The school fair was a great event and it was fantastic to see everybody there enjoying themselves. Next week in week 7 Sheridan are having a scooter course with Constable Jude. On Friday children can bring in their scooter and helmet for a practical session. The children in Room 3 are designing and creating christmas wrapping paper at the moment. We are going to donate a small present and wrap it using our paper. Then we will donate the present to children in need. Please come in and see our designs!!!  We are also busy practising for the Christmas Show!!! Very exciting times ahead.
