Mickey Mouse Description

Hi everybody,
In Room 3 we have been writing character descriptions and we have been trying to use lots of adjectives to describe people and objects.  We have described our mums and now we have described Mickey Mouse. Here is Trinity's description:

HIs name is Mickey Mouse and his friend's names are Donald Duck and Pluto.  He has red shorts and he has a black nose.  He has yellow shoes and he has white gloves.  He has black, round ears and he has black and white eyes.

Communities

Our topic this term is Communities. In Room 3 we brainstormed all the different groups and communities we belong to.  We came up with a very interesting list and we put our ideas onto these buzzy bee sheets. Some examples of groups we belong to are:

Recount of Our Jesus Meal

This is Maggie's recount of our Jesus Meal:

Last Wednesday we had our Jesus meal.  Rooms 3, 2 and 1 went to the Jesus meal.  I ate olives.  It was fun having the Jesus meal and I was excited!!

Maths - Counting Backwards!!!

In Room 3 we have been practising counting backwards.  We have also been learning which numbers come before other numbers. Take a look at our photos which show how we have been learning this skill.  It has been lots of fun!!!!

Sheridan Syndicate Swimming Carnival

On Thursday 13 March we are having our swimming carnival.  Children will be swimming at different times during the day.  They are excited about showing you what they can do in the pool.  We would love you to come along and watch.  We have been practising really hard and learning lots of new techniques. Please check with your child what time they will be swimming on Thursday.

Our Jesus Meal

On Wednesday in Week 5 we had a shared meal with Rooms 1 and 2.  In Religious Education we have been studying Jesus' life when he was young.  We looked at where he lived, the clothes we wore, the games he would have played and the food that he ate.  We all brought in some fruit to share.  Ms Scanlan bought some bread, hummus and feta cheese to share.  We all dressed up in clothes that Jesus would have worn.  It was a lot of fun and we all tried some new food.
