Writing

Last week in Room 3 we wrote about Good Friends. We explained how to be a good friend. Here are fantastic pieces of writing from Rosa and Jiwoo.

Good Friends
If you are lonely and want a friend, you have to use manners. For example, if I walk up to a random person I would not say, "Be my friend now!" That's the exact path to them saying No! So this is the best way to make a friend. You walk up to them and say, "Hello, what is your name? My name is Rosa can I play with you?" That's how I made friends with Maggie. Now Maggie is my best friend because we both treat each other nicely by sharing, making sure we are not lonely and helping each other with our work. You also need to get to know them, that's how you make a friend.

Good Friends
If you want to be a good friend you need to first make a friend. How to make a friend is, use your manners. But don't say "be my friend." You can introduce yourself. When you have a friend they can look after you! They can help you when you're stuck at work, when you're hurt or when you have bad skin and when you're sick at home they will worry about you. When you have lots of friends like I do, you can invite them for a playdate or some birthday parties. I know when you start school it's hard to make friends but after two weeks you will have one hundred friends. When you're having a party or a playdate you can share your toys and play fun games. I think friends are very useful to you. So that you don't need to be alone everyday. In Good Shepherd School or other schools you might have some buddies to keep you safe. I love friends. You can have a friend who's a boy or a girl, you don't need to have an actual girlfriend or boyfriend. I love friends so much.
