Room 3's Assembly

On Friday Room 3 presented their first assembly for the year. All the children did a fabulous job and had a great time.  We had practised very hard, especially on our Goldilocks and the 3 bears story. We have some photos to share.

Our MOTAT trip

On Friday 20 June, Sheridan Syndicate went on a trip to MOTAT. We were looking at inventions and how things can be designed and built. We had so much fun and really enjoyed the whole day. We liked going on the tram and running through the mirror maze. Our time in the classroom was fun, we got to look at really old items and then match them to modern objects. We really enjoyed writing with ink and a quill. Check out our photos below!!!!

Class Mihimihi

Our writing focus last week was Te Reo. We each wrote our mihimihi. Our next step is to practice saying it out loud and pronouncing the words correctly. Here are a few examples:

Bookweek

Room 3 had such a brilliant time last week during bookweek. We really enjoyed listening to the visiting authors and watching the space jump show. Mrs McLeod loved reading lots of interesting books to the children. We had lots of fun buddy reading with different classes and visiting the bookfair. In our classroom we did a variety of activities related to the books we had been reading. Here are some photos of our characters we dressed up as, for the parade. ART

In Room 3 we have been creating a collage of the 3 bears, from Goldilocks and the 3 bears. We started by drawing the outline of the bears and colouring in their faces. Then we ripped up pieces of coloured paper and glued them onto the bodies of the bears. We had to make sure to use plenty of glue and overlap the pieces of paper.
