Cultural Celebration Day!!!!

Today was a very special day in Room 3!!! We celebrated all the different cultures we have in Room 3 and at Good Shepherd School. All the children were invited to come to school dressed in clothes that represented their culture or cultures. We discussed this beforehand and came up with some ideas for lots of different cultures, including our own New Zealand culture. Children were encouraged to also bring in something to share with the class. In Room 3 we had food, songs, national anthems and toys from different cultures. Each child stood up and talked about what they were wearing and why it was important to them. It was a fabulous day and it was great to see so many children proud of their culture and heritage.
